The Task Force to Study Electronic Health Records formed in December 2005 (Chapter 291, Acts of 2005). The Task Force studied electronic health records and the expansion of their use throughout Maryland, including the impact and costs of electronic transfers, electronic prescriptions, and computerized physician order entries, as well as their effect on school health records, and patient safety.
The Task Force reported to the Governor and General Assembly on December 31, 2007. Authorization for the Task Force expired on December 31, 2007 (Chapter 291, Acts of 2005).
